Weather like this makes me want to quit my job and live by the sea.

Home away from home.
Last year I went and stayed with my boyfriend in the lovely (but very small) Cornish village of Polruan.
Polruan
is extremely close to my heart. It's where I had my summer holiday
every year as a child as did my mother. And her mother too. I haven't
been here for about 6 years but as soon as we drove over the cliffs and
saw the sea everything came back to me. Nostalgia at its finest.
Calm before the storm
Probably my favourite word.
"the faculty of making fortunate discoveries by accident"
You can find beauty in the strangest of things
This
is Ally cat. He greeted us with a cautious pawing at the window. He
left us with two large poos and a lot of cleaning up to do. I feel
foolish for leaving him a bowl of milk.
King of the castle
The
ferry takes you over to Fowey for a rather extortionate return price of
£3.20. The last ferry back is at 6.55pm and if you miss that you have a
3 hour walk back. Or as recommend to us by some locals, just steal a boat.
We
even managed to squeeze in some time to visit the Eden Project. Haven't
been there for years and B had never visited. It's an amazing place. If
you haven't been, go.
My lovely boyfriend loves to fish. Not really my thing although I would go again just for the scenery...

Mexi-CAN
A few snaps of my recent excursion to Mexico where I found out I still don't like tequila and whale sharks wont eat you but it bloody hurts if you get hit by one.
Nothing like getting wifey to brush your hair for you on the bus. Mexicans really are a chilled out bunch
Family is extremely important to me. Last year my dad was very ill, so for me, to be able to have a family holiday this year meant everything.
As you can see, he's feeling a lot better.
Unfortunately I was unable to bring this lil guy home
There was no way I was going to bring this guy back
Swimming, sunning, snorkeling, drinking, eating. All of what you would expect from a holiday. All to be swapped for computers and depressing weather. And planning my next escape.
